How the comparison works
The drive is about 270 miles each way. On an empty road that is roughly four hours; the bands above add the time typically lost leaving Los Angeles, crossing the Cajon Pass and queuing near the state line on busy weekends.
The flight figure counts the whole journey: getting to the airport, a short wait at the private terminal, about 50 minutes in the air and the ride from the terminal in Las Vegas to your hotel.
The price is for the whole aircraft, divided by your group. Because most aircraft fly home empty after a one-way, the estimate includes that return; aircraft already heading your way can bring it down, and your quote will show it.
